Now I new a little bit about panic and anxiety attacks but was stunned on just how many people are searching for things such as how can I stop panic attacks or I need to bring my anxiety attacks under control. I then came upon a website from Joe Barry who himself struggled with panic attacks for years. After reading how he tried so many treatments only to have nun of them work I realized that Joe wants to help as many people as possible. Now I have some concerns on one hand the amount of jobs it would create would bee wonderful, however since they have not decided who qualifies for the funding what’s stopping the internet providers that are huge corporations from taking all the funding? Although I have no doubt that the current economic situation is affecting these corporations I am positive they have enough money to ride out this economic storm with out government bailouts. I also saw a report on T.V about 6 months ago stating the internet was the last thing that many consumers were willing to cut out of there lives to save money. It is based on this fact that I am questioning spending so much money on an industry that seems to bee doing very well. I do agree however that the infrastructure needs to bee upgraded, I spent four years at a company providing tech support and saw on a day to day basis how quickly a simple wind storm could knock out the internet to hundreds of thousands of people. Assuming the US Government goes ahead with this money, let’s hope it goes to towns or cities or other small companies who need the money to create jobs and will follow through in improving the internet. I was shocked to read that the passwords were not encrypted when they were stored, however I am certainly hoping that was a misunderstanding. The last few articles I red during my visit to CNET the other day talked about a couple different but very big websites being hacked, one site was an ISP and the other a blog hosting site. All these questions started forming in my head, is my information stored in a secure manor with my ISP? How could a hacker take over a huge company so easy? Now I fully understand these are isolated issues and I am pretty positive that all ISPs around the world take there customers protection extremely seriously, however it was alarming to find so many security issues with different companies in one spot. I guess this is yet another reminder to all of us that we need to protect our personal information at all times and bee very careful of the kind of information we give out online.

Now although I already new all about VoIP I decided to read the article. The Author Robert Melkonyan certainly knows his stuff about this technology and has written it so no matter if you have never heard of this technology or if you no allot about it you can follow him with out being confused or overwhelmed. If you have used Skype to talk to friends online or maybe you used it to make cheap international calls, then you have used VoIP. Another VoIP service that is taking off with cable companies is commonly called digital phone. This service is slightly different in that the VoIP is on its own network, there for not impacting your internet connection well you are surfing the internet. Judging from how many people are searching for VoIP on search engines the message that VoIP can enhance people’s lives certainly seems to bee hitting home with a lot of consumers world wide.

I mean one expert will say as long as your anti-virus and windows updates are all current you have dun the best you can, then the next computer store owner will say oh there is nothing to worry about this worm s not going to bee that bad. Then yesterday I heard another opinion stating if you could not get the windows update site to load you were infected, well this morning I went to update my computer since I did not have the patch from march installed and I couldn’t get there. I simply reset Internet Explorer, installed the active ex control and had no problems installing the update. I guess in all fairness it is hard to know what worms and other viruses are going to do so all these people are probably providing the best information they can. I for one hope that is the case and they aren’t out to scare people so more money is spent on computer upgrades during the panic that is created from all this coverage. What do you think?

The facts are all true in that so many of us need to have the computer on when at home and bee signed into MSN Messenger as well as checking email 4 or 5 times a day. Oh and I almost forgot checking what your friends are posting on Facebook. I am not totally addicted to the net I like getting out side and going for a walk, the fresh air and not being tempted to check any of my email accounts is a nice brake. So this is my view, what is yours? Do you set a limit of how much time you spend online? Are you able to go home at the end of the day and not bee connected to your office through a black bury and do you think technology has in fact taken over control of our lives? I must say I was some what shocked at this, well I agree with quite a few points that the author razes there are a few examples that do back up my view that Mark Zuckerberg does listen to what the majority of facebook users want. The first example that comes to mind was the policy change to the terms of service that came out about 3 weeks ago. Well I am not going to go into grate detail about it, the uproar of people righting on walls and joining groups to protest forced Zuckerberg to reverse the policy and go back to the drawing board. The second example that I thought of which is going back almost two years is the advertising, there was a simple question do you want more advertising in order to keep Facebook free to use. I do agree however that at the end of the day Zuckerberg is going to do what ever is going to make the most business sense.

Perhaps that is because I am good at multi tasking so could bee talking on MSN with my friends and not miss a good program. Every time I stumble a cross something like this that is so simple, yet so powerful I think to my self man why didn’t I think of that! Since I am more or less a web junky and with the way the internet is growing maybe sum day I will invent something that makes me rich. I guess time will tell.
